Mr. Kabiri is an accomplished individual with a distinguished academic background, having graduated college with honors and earning degrees in both Business and Mathematics. His professional journey commenced at Westinghouse Broadcasting and Cable, marking the inception of a more than two-decade-long career in the Telecommunication field. Starting in sales, Mr. Kabiri steadily progressed within the industry, ultimately reaching the position of Vice President of sales.

Notably, during his tenure, he dedicated four years to the intricate realm of mergers and acquisitions, enhancing his expertise in strategic business transactions. Demonstrating his versatile capabilities, Mr. Kabiri hassuccessfully purchased, operated, and divested several businesses. His extensive firsthand experience has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of all facets of the sale process, representing the perspectives of both seller and buyer, along with his proficiency as a broker.

Equally adept in the intricacies of business formation, Mr. Kabiri has established and operated businesses in various legal structures, encompassing C-Corporations, S-Corporations, and LLCs. His diverse experience reflects a well-rounded comprehension of entrepreneurship from inception to sale.

Erich K. Schmid

Member – Certified Business Intermediary

Mr. Schmid and the late William J. Fass founded Business Intermediary Services, Ltd. in 1994 to focus solely on lower, middle – market transactions in the in the U.S., Canada, and U.S. – Brazil cross-border transactions.

Mr. Schmid is a 35-year veteran in the mergers and acquisitions arena. In 1974 Mr. Schmid’s corporate M&A career began with The Babcock & Wilcox Co. (NYSE: BW) in its Corporate Planning and Business Development Department; and following the acquisition of B&W by J. Ray McDermott (NYSE: MDR) in 1978, he joined McDermott’s corporate development staff. In 1980 Mr. Schmid was selected by Tidewater Inc. (NYSE: TDW) to be its first Director of Corporate Development and served in that position until 1985 when he resigned and moved to Asheville, North Carolina where he joined a local business brokerage firm where he specialized in larger transactions. During his nine years in general business brokerage, he performed valuations of several hundred businesses for buyers and sellers and was involved in over 100 transactions. Since 1974 he was directly involved in over 60 lower, middle – market transactions.

Mr. Schmid has both a B.S. – Industrial Management and M.S. – Management from The University of Akron, Akron, Ohio. Mr. Schmid also studied Strategic Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Business. While he was a member of the International Business Brokers Association, he was named a Fellow of the IBBA and was instrumental in founding the Carolinas – Virginia Business Brokers Association and served as its first president. Mr. Schmid is currently member of Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors and is a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA). He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth’s Charlotte Chapter and is a life member of The Institute of Business Appraisers and holds charter membership in its Southeastern Chapter.
